I thought I would share this interview with ShoeMoney with a little more of a back story on doing my first interview ever and how nervous I was.
Jeremy is a really cool guy and all and luckily I was able to meet him on the show floor the day before, but I didn’t feel all that prepared to do the interview and was quite nervous. There was numerous reasons for not feeling ready as I was testing my equipment over and over, but I always kept on having one problem or another and I was not quite 100% set up by the time they arrived because I was trying to attend as many shows while at the Affiliate Summit West convention.
Luckily for me, he is REALLY easy to work with and was totally understanding. He helped me get out my pre-interview jitters and we were on our way in no time. I didn’t realize at the time that he was going to make an announcement that he will be retiring from being keynote speaker and laughed at his jabs towards John Chow. You can tell he really likes the guy when it comes down to it. I really hoped to do an interview with John Chow while I was attending Affiliate Summit West and asked if he could spare the time. I saw him daily when we were in the press room, but I he was always very busy and I didn’t want to intrude.
John agreed to an interview on the last day of the show, but of course that had to be the busiest day of them all and I was never able to catch up with him. I hope to do an interview with him over Skype as I am sure he has an incredible story as well.
Watching the ShoeMoney interview was amazing. Not only did he draw the crowd in and provided a very funny and entertaining keynote, it was also full of information on how he made it and what you need to do to become the next affiliate marketing superstar.
Not only did I learn a ton of great information at the Affiliate Summit Convention, but I was able to conduct a few interviews and overcome my fear of doing them. One of the reasons I wanted to start this website about teaching people how to make money online was to do things out of my comfort zone. I wanted to try things I have never done before just to see what opportunities would come my way. I also wanted to work on something where money was not the bottom line, but learning new skills and helping others to succeed as well.
So far it has been a great experience and it has only been around 6 months since I started on this new project. I am still trying to get the video production, editing and posting down to a ‘system’, but I am not quite there yet. I REALLY wish I would have purchased a MAC… That would have saved me many hours of frustration and weeks on delays. Maybe next month.
Thanks again for visiting the website and watching the videos! Also wanted to thank everyone that is rating and reviewing my show on iTunes. Since I started asking people to PLEASE rate and review, I have slowly been creeping up the charts on iTunes. So thanks again, and if you haven’t done it yet, please follow the link below this post to do it. It only takes a second.
